Jude Bellingham Functioned in an advanced role on the right and also put in dirty work. Showed glimpses of brilliance and dragged an effort over. Substituted in the closing stages for a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity in the opening period, his effort well saved by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate hanging back, he had to stretch the play down the right side although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring two more finishes at international level. The first a trademark poacher’s finish and the second an excellent finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, he’s only getting better and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to make an impact from the left. Had a good opening when set up by the midfielder however Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger effect after coming on. 5/10
